The Collector's Edition FAQ's

The Collector's Edition FAQ's

Posted by Brooke Ray on

Why do these rugs cost more?

Each of the rugs featured in The Collector's Edition are meticulously handcrafted for the discerning eye.  Every square inch of these rugs have over 50% more knots than any other rug found in our collections. This take significantly more time and skill because it requires more knots to be tied per inch.

Do these rugs look different than other hand knotted rugs?

Yes, the designs in these rugs are more precise and refined. Imagine two paintings: one created with thick, broad brush strokes (5/5 knot) and another with tiny, fine brush strokes (7/8 knot). The second painting captures more details and nuances, and while it too longer to make, it's something you can appreciate not only up close but for a life time.

How do they feel?

These rugs feel as though you are truly walking on clouds. They are super soft under foot.

Are these rugs more durable?

Yes, more knots equal stronger construction. A higher knot count, like the 7/8, means more durability, helping these rugs maintain their beauty for generations.

Do you offer sample rugs from The Collector's Edition?

Yes, we do offer samples for the majority of rugs found in this collection.

Do you provide True to Hue, Benjamin Moore color matches, for these rugs?

No, we do not offer color matches due to their intricate color palettes and designs.

Do you recommend rug pads for this collection?

Absolutely! A rug pad adds both safety and comfort. They are designed to prevent slipping and protect your floors while staying hidden beneath the rug. In addition, rug pads significantly extend the life of a handcrafted rug. Shop our rug pads here.
