Get to know Lindsey Gilley.....

Lindsey Gilley, founder and lead interior designer of Lindsey Gilley Interiors, is a Houston native and Baylor University graduate. While a love for art and design has been a constant thread throughout her life, Lindsey initially pursued a career in HR and Recruiting and later dedicated herself to raising her four children. Throughout this time, she nurtured a deep passion for interior design, honing her skills by helping friends transform their houses into homes. Ultimately, she turned this passion into a profession, and in 2021, Lindsey Gilley Interiors was born, ready to share her warm and distinctive creative eye with others.

q & a

What is your favorite color pairing? Current color you are loving?

I am always a fan of blues and lavender together, but also currently loving a good chartreuse.

What city can you not wait to go back to? Which hotel & restaurant do you find inspiring and can't wait to visit again?

We loved visiting San Miguel, it has been one of our favorite trips! Any Rosewood hotel, I always look forward to visiting, the one in the Bahamas was amazing too! I don't get out enough to think of a restaurant that's "inspiring", but you can always find me at one of our many Tex-Mex favorites around town.

What is your design superpower?

I don't know about a superpower, but we can basically be finished with our presentation and ready to present to our client, but I will have this nagging feeling that it is not quite right or we still need to change or adjust something. I probably drive the girls crazy!

What is your favorite hostess gift?

Cute coasters or cocktail napkins with some bubbly; I also wouldn't mind receiving that too ha!

Favorite vintage source or home focused retail store?

We LOVE the hunt of going to estate sales, otherwise we source from several vintage buyers & collectors along the East Coast. We do always of course love sourcing the fields at Round Top as well!

What is your go-to outfit?

Honestly, if we don't have many appointments that day, I love a good athleisure outfit' being comfortable is key especially during an install. If I had to step it up a notch, I do love a good wide leg jean (which I hope never goes out of style) with a cute top. I also can't resist a good belt!

Hung my own wallpaper?

Never, and you wouldn't want me to!

Shopped at Home Goods?

Of course I have! I still try to make it by there at least once or twice a month. You have to know when they have their restock days, which is key to scoring a good find!

Arranged books by color?

I would say when we are stacking books for styling purposes, the colors need to "coordinate", but we don't necessarily arrange the books by color.
